Called the Stade du Senegal, the ground has a capacity of 50 000 and, according to KingFut, will be the country's only stadium capable of hosting international matches.

The nation's previous big ground, the Lat Dior, is believed to have lost its Confederation of African Football certification just less than a year ago.

Stade du Senegal, which was said to have cost in the region of €238 million (R4 billion), is located in Diamniadio, a town that is reportedly being built about 30 kilometers outside of Dakar, the country's capital.
