After what will two decades, the world's biggest footballing tournament will return to the African continent as Morocco are poised to collaborate with Spain and Portugal to host the tournament's 24th edition.
The north African nation is preparing for the occasion by hosting a variety of football tournaments leading up to the World Cup, including the Women's Africa Cup of Nations, the Africa Cup of Nations, as they also have ambitions of co-hosting the 2029 FIFA Club World Cup.

While the competition's fixtures will be played in Europe and Africa, the one game which Morocco are eager to host is the final.
According to Marca, the north African nation plans on building the biggest football stadium in the world for the game. The arena will be called The King Hassan II Stadium, and it is believed that it will have a capacity for 115 000 spectators.

It is said to be the dream of Royal Moroccan Football Federation president Fouzi Lekjaa for the World Cup final to be held in Casablanca at this stadium. However, the same report further states that FIFA has already decided that the final will be held at Real Madrid's home ground, Santiago Bernabeu.
