Having been appointed as the head coach of MC Algers last month, the South African tactician has had the last few weeks to assess his new team.
El Mouloudia have conducted their preparations for the new campaign both domestically and outside the country in neighbouring Tunisia, subsequently allowing the former Mamelodi Sundowns head coach to adequately evaluate the quality of his squad.
One of the players that the 38-year-old has recently looked at, and despite his high profile, has not been happy with, is attacker Andy Delort.
The 33-year-old has played for some prestigious sides during his career, having donned the jerseys of the likes of Wigan Athletic, OGC Nice, Toulouse, Montpellier and Nantes, but despite having a massive reputation, the attacker has seemingly not impressed the Johannesburg native. According to AfricaFoot, Mokwena has given the green light for the 15-capped Algerian international to make the move to Al Qadsia SC in Kuwait.

It is believed that the Sete native has signed a one-year contract with the club that will be worth $550,000 (R9.7 million), which is understood to be incentive-based. The same report claims that it was Delort’s performance during the team’s first training camp in Ain Draham, Tunisia in particular, which left Mokwena particularly unimpressed.
