Al Ahly coach Jose Riveiro has set an unwanted record at the club following the club's slow start to the new campaign.

Riveiro's side played out a goalless draw against Ghazl El Malhalla in their third Egyptian Premier League game, where Riveiro expressed his frustration with his side, who failed to capitalise on a dominant performance, according to Kolel Kooora.
"We created more than seven chances on goal and we were superior," Riveiro saaid. "Al Ahly is an attacking team, but unfortunately the result was not in our favor today," he added.
Despite an unbeaten start to the league season with one win and two draws, Riveiro has led the Red Devils to their worst league start since the 2014/15 season, according to Ahly News.
In that season, the Red Giant started the season with a win, two draws and a loss in their first four games. Incidentally, their eternal rivals, Zamalek, were crowned league winners that season.
The former Orlando Pirates boss's poor start has not deterred the club's management from parting ways with the Spaniard.
According to a senior official within the club, Riveiro has the full support of club president Mahmoud El-Khatib.
The source added that the ex-Bucs coach would continue to lead the team as they are not considering sacking him, particularly ahead of a crucial league clash against Pyramids FC, according to Kolel Koora.
The report adds that El-Khatib said it was too early to judge Riveiro after just three league games, with the president showing full support for Riveiro's project.
