The eight teams to compete in the new African Super League have finally been revealed.
After months of talk, the inaugural African Super League will officially get underway in October but only eight African clubs will take part.

The tournament was originally supposed to have 24 teams, which was proposed by CAF but a decision has been made to only use eight clubs for the first edition.
South Africa's Mamelodi Sundowns will be one of the eight clubs to take part in the newly-introduced competition.
It has also been confirmed that the draw for the tournament will take place in September, with the group stages match scheduled to begin on 20 October 2023.

Mamelodi Sundowns (South Africa)
Wydad Casabalanca (Morocco)
ES Tunis (Tunisia)
TP Mazembe (DR Congo)
Enyimba FC (Nigeria)
Simba SC (Tanzania)
Atletico Petroleos de Luanda (Angola)
