The Kenyan's name was reportedly floated around Chiefs in the last few months as coach Nassredine Nabi looked to bolster his squad.

However, it seems as if the 31-year-old looks set to remain in Qatar after being linked with a move to Al Arabi.

Qatari publication Al-Raya have reported that Al Arabi are negotiations with the Kenyan captain over a potential switch ahead of the 2025/26 season.

The report does add that while Olunga is Al Arabi's preferred choice, there are a couple hurdles in the negotiation process at the moment.

Olunga finished the Qatar Stars League campaign with 12 goals and two assists in 19 appearances for Al-Duhail.

Meanwhile, Al-Duhail are reportedly planning to replace Olunga with former AC Milans striker Krzysztof Piatek.
