There were a number of big tackles from the onset, with the coach alluding that the off-field issues involving Teboho Mokoena playing a role leading up to the clash.

“Yes, it was very physical and one was expecting that considering what’s been happening behind you know before the game and I wish all the players who got injured a speedy recovery," Notsi told SABC Sport.

“And I believe our supporters are satisfied in terms of how our players conducted themselves.

"They fought for the ball and I think going forward the team will do better next time."

Lesotho are seemingly out of the running for a World Cup ticket, but they are back in action on Tuesday against Benin.
