Lesotho coach Leslie Notsi has explained why his players were very physical against Bafana Bafana during their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier.
South Africa registered a 3-0 win over Lesotho to strengthen their grip on top spot in Group C with three games remaining.

There were a number of big tackles from the onset, with the coach alluding that the off-field issues involving Teboho Mokoena playing a role leading up to the clash.
“Yes, it was very physical and one was expecting that considering what’s been happening behind you know before the game and I wish all the players who got injured a speedy recovery," Notsi told SABC Sport.
“And I believe our supporters are satisfied in terms of how our players conducted themselves.
"They fought for the ball and I think going forward the team will do better next time."
Lesotho are seemingly out of the running for a World Cup ticket, but they are back in action on Tuesday against Benin.
