Eto'o was involved in a legal battle with Gilbert Kadji, the founder of Kadji Sports Academy, who was appealing his suspension from all football-related activities due to a boycott of the regional championships, Afrik-Foot reported.
The Court of Arbitration for Sport has rejected Kadji Sports Academy’s appeal against the decision taken in 2023 by the Regional Commission for Approval and Discipline of the Littoral Regional Football League.
It is claimed that Kadji Sports Academy presented only about ten licenses out of the 48 requested to participate in the regional championship.
FECAFOOT noted the situation and decided to grant only a limited number of licenses. The KSA proceeded to not take part in the regional championship unless all licenses were granted.
The Cameroon Football Federation then sanctioned the club and its administrator, Gilbert Kadji, with a five-year suspension from all football activities.
Kadji was reportedly dismissed by CAS and ordered to pay a fine of 3,000 Swiss Francs (R66 000), as well as pay 80% of the legal costs involved.
In a statement, Fecafoot welcomed CAS' decision to rule in their favour and said that "the President's honour has been restored."
"All of these court decisions rehabilitate Fecafoot in its rights and restore its president to his honour," it said.
The statement continued: "These judicial victories are nevertheless welcomed without triumphalism. Rather, they constitute an additional motivation to pursue the program of reforms, modernisation, and development of Cameroonian football engaged for more than three years."
