The Glamour Boys have been linked with a host of attacking talent during this transfer window, and one of the names touted as a possible acquisition is Simba SC attacking midfielder Jean Charles Ahoua.
The Ivorian enjoyed an impressive individual 2024/25 campaign, scoring 16 goals and providing nine assists in all competitions for the Tanzanian giants in what was his debut season for the Dar es Salaam-based club.
Despite only joining the club a season ago, the 23-year-old could already be on his way out of the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium. Not only are Chiefs reportedly interested, but according to Africafoot, LALIGA2 outfit Almería are also keen on securing the West African’s services.
The Spanish side have had success with African forwards in recent years, most notably Nigeria international Umar Sadiq, who was prolific for them between 2020 and 2022. His performances earned him a big move to Basque giants Real Sociedad, who paid a club-record €20 million fee for his signature.
Almería now seem eager to replicate that success by recruiting another African star. However, the same report suggests that Simba are demanding a fee of €538 400 (R11 million) for Ahoua, and are also insisting on a 10% sell-on clause.

It is understood that the Spanish second-division club are considering the fee, but it remains to be seen whether they – or Chiefs – will be willing to pay the amount required to prise Ahoua away.
