Veteran attacker Elias Pelembe has shown no signs of slowing down after being called up to Mozambique's squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers next month.
Reports claimed that coach Chiquinho Conde had dropped Pelembe during the last international break after a fallout.

The 41-year-old is seemingly now back on good terms with the coach after being called up to Mozambique's preliminary squad for September's clashes.
Former Kaizer Chiefs full-back Edmilson Dove has also received a call-up despite being a free-agent since the end of the 2024/25 season.
Mozambique will lock horns with Uganda and Botswana.
