Simba enjoyed a strong 2024/25 season, finishing runners-up in the Tanzanian Premier League and the CAF Confederation Cup.
Davids will be hoping to go one better in the league, while the Reds of Msimbazi will also be back in the CAF Champions League.
According to IPP Media, it's been a busy transfer window for the Tanzanian outfit, which has signed 12 new players for the upcoming season, including two former Mamelodi Sundowns stars in Rushine De Reuck and Neo Maema.
The ex-Maritzburg United captain was delighted with his team's dealings this season, as each acquisition was his choice this year. The new approach aligns with the 44-year-old's tactical and playing style, and the Capetonian offered praise to head scout Mals Daalder for the work he's done.
"You can't replace a player like Fabrice Ngoma with another Fabrice," he said. "What you can do is find a player who matches the exact profile and quality you need. That's what we've done, and a huge credit goes to Mels Daalder for his work in helping us improve for next season," he added.
Davids continued: "Our team already has a solid foundation. We only needed a few players to come in and help us establish our ideal style of play, which will eventually give us the full package. So far, I'm proud of my team and where we're heading. I'm hopeful that we'll have a great season."
Simba's season will kick off with the Simba Day celebration on 10 September before they face rivals Yanga SC in the Community Shield, which marks the first opportunity for silverware.
