Kenya head coach Benni McCarthy has sent a strong warning to rival nations at the African Nations Championship (CHAN).
McCarthy named a 30-man provisional squad for the tournament, although he will be will be without striker Kenyan Premier League Golden Boot winner Moses Shumah.

The Harambee Stars began preparations for the tournament on Friday at Kasarani Annex, with McCarthy claiming he is building a team that one will want to face.
“In three weeks, we’ll have a team that no one wants to face," McCarthy said, as per Pan-African Football.
"We’re preparing the best way possible because I believe we’ve selected a strong, competitive squad. Everyone is eager for this challenge.
Captain Aboud Omar has assured that they will be working hard to adapt to McCarthy's system ahead of the CHAN tournament.
“We know our fans will be behind us, supporting and motivating us all the way. Our focus now is on training hard and building strong team chemistry.
"The league just ended recently, so our match fitness is intact—now it’s about adapting to the coach’s system.”
