The African player who made the most appearances for Barcelona is Samuel Eto'o. The Cameroonian striker spent five years at the club, scoring 130 goals in 199 official appearances and lifting eight trophies during his spell at the Camp Nou.

Not many will remember Barca's third-most capped African, Gerardo Miranda. The Mauritanian played 155 matches for the Blaugrana between 1981 and 1988, claiming six trophies along the way.
Yaya Toure also deserves a mention after the Ivory Coast international featured in 118 matches for Barca, collecting seven pieces of silverware in the process.
While the abovementioned four players are the only African stars who have represented Barcelona in more than 100 games, Angola's Jorge Alberto Mendonca was the first African to play for the Spanish giants. The retired striker played for the club between 1966 and 1969.
