AFCON Coach Sacked After Just One Match

Adel Amrouche has been removed from his post as Tanzania coach

One head coach at the Africa Cup of Nations has already been sacked after just one encounter.

Adel Amrouche was given an eight-game suspension for some controversial remarks made after his side's 3-0 loss to Morocco on Wednesday night.

Soon after the suspension from CAF, the Tanzania's Football Federation announced that Amrouche will be relieved of his duties after only game.

"In another step, the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) has suspended coach Amrouche. As a result of that decision, Hemed Morocco has been appointed acting coach and he will be assisted by Juma Mgunda," TFF spokesman Clifford Mario Ndimbo said, as per ESPN.

Tanzania will be back in action on Sunday evening when they take on Zambia looking to bounce back from the loss to the Atlas Lions.
