Official: SA Coach Guides Botswana To AFCON

Egypt 1-1 Botswana

Botswana qualified for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in the last Group C encounter after a 1-1 draw against Egypt at Cairo International Stadium.

Omaatla Kebatho gave Botswana an early lead but his goal was cancelled out on 15 minutes by Trezeguet for Egypt.

However, a point was enough for Morena Ramoreboli's charges to finish second in the group, one point ahead of third-placed Mauritania.

The Pharaohs finished six points clear at the top of the section.

Congo-Brazzaville 0-1 Uganda

Uganda ended their Group K campaign on a winning note after edging Congo-Brazzaville 1-0 at Stade Alphonse Massemba-Débat.

After a goalless first stanza, Travis Mutyaba broke the deadlock for Uganda ten minutes from the break and that was enough to give The Cranes maximum points.

Paul Put's charges finished one point behind leaders Bafana Bafana in second spot, nine points ahead of Congo.

Guinea-Bissau 1-2 Mozambique

Mozambique booked their spot in the 2025 tournament in the last game of Group I after edging Guinea-Bissau 2-1 at Estádio 24 de Setembro.

Bruno Langa gave Mozambique an early lead and Beto levelled matters for Guinea-Bissau just before the interval.

Stanley Ratifo restored the lead for the Mambas early in the second stanza and that was enough to give them maximum points.

Mozambique finished second in the pool, six points ahead of third-placed Guinea-Bissau.

Cameroon 2-1 Zimbabwe

Cameroon finished at the top of Group J after a narrow 2-1 victory over Zimbabwe at Stade Ahmadou Ahidjo.

Vincent Aboubakar opened the scoring for Cameroon after 18 minutes and Georges-Kevin N'Koudou doubled their lead five minutes later.

Terrence Dzvukamanja pulled a goal back for Zimbabwe with 17 minutes remaining.

The Indomitable Lions finished five points ahead of second-placed The Warriors, as both sides were already through prior to the game.

Tanzania 1-0 Guinea 

Tanzania qualified ahead of Guinea after a 1-0 surprise win in the final Group H encounter at Benjamin Mkapa National Stadium.

After the sides could not be separated in the first stanza, Simon Msuva eventually broke the deadlock for Tanzania around the hour-mark.

The Taifa Stars finished second in the pool, one point ahead of Guinea, who ended up in third.

Senegal 2-0 Burundi

Senegal finished their Group L campaign with an unbeaten record and at the top after beating Burundi 2-0 at Stade Me Abdoulaye Wade.

Habib Diarra broke the deadlock for Senegal ten minutes before the interval, doubled their lead and completed his brace early in the second stanza.

The Lions of Teranga ended six points clear at the top of the section and Burundi finished third.
