Nigeria 6-0 Sao Tome and Principe
Nigeria finished their qualifying campaign top of Group A after hammering Sao Tome and Principe 6-0 on Sunday evening at Godswill Akpabio Stadium.
Victor Osimhen opened the scoring for the Super Eagles on 13 minutes and Ademola Lookman doubled their lead just before the half-hour mark, as they went to the break with a two-goal lead.
Taiwo Awoniyi put the game to bed for Jose Peseiro's charges three minutes into the second stanza.
Nigeria ran riot from there, as Osimhen made it 4-0 and got his brace with 20 minutes to go and made it 5-0 nine minutes later and completed his hat-trick.
Samuel Chukwueze rounded off the thrashing for the Super Eagles with the sixth goal four minutes before time.
Nigeria finished with an unassailable lead at the top of the section while Sao Tome lost their fifth game, as they ended with just one point
Togo 3-2 Cape Verde
Cape Verde missed the chance to finish top of Group B after they were edged by Togo in a five-goal thriller on Sunday evening at Stade de Kegue.
Kevin and Benchimol gave the Blue Sharks a two-goal lead in the first 20 minutes but Ahoueke Denkey pulled a goal back for Togo five minutes before the break from the penalty spot.
Denkey levelled matters for the Sparrowhawks and got his brace 13 minutes before time and Abdou Ouattara snatched the winner with two minutes remaining.
Togo's win, however, was inconsequential, as they could not finish higher than third place.
Cape Verde, who had already qualified, had to settle for second spot in the pool, just a point behind group winners Burkina Faso.
Gambia 2-2 Congo-Brazzaville
Gambia secured a spot in the Africa Cup of Nations tournament after a 2-2 draw against Congo-Brazzaville on Sunday evening at Stade de Marrakech.
Gaius Makouta broke the deadlock for Congo on the half-hour mark and Silvere Ganvoula doubled their lead on the stroke of half-time from the penalty spot.
However, the Scorpions pushed the game to the wire after Yankuba Minteh reduced the deficit with ten minutes to go and Mohamed Badamosi eventually levelled matters in stoppage time.
Gambia qualified for the AFCON in second place in Group G, three points ahead of third-placed Congo, who would have qualified with victory.
