Head coach Aliou Cisse on Saturday confirmed that Liverpool star Sadio Mane will miss the clash due to suspension.

The 27-year-old picked up two yellow cards during the qualifiers in the wins of Equatorial Guinea and Madagascar and will miss the Group C opener.

Cisse, though, remains confident that the Teranga Lions will adjust without their talisman.

"His absence should not in any way bother us," Cisse told reporters, according to BBC Sport.   "Certainly the presence of Sadio is beneficial but without him we remain strong.   "Caf have decided, so we will not linger [on the subject]."   "Certainly, with Sadio we would be very good, but even without him we will be very good,"    Read: Downs Star Helps Uganda Overcome Ivory Coast   Mane registered an impressive 26 goals and five assists across all competitions for the Reds this season.
