The Red Devils made a quick start against Ipswich Town over the weekend and followed suit this time around when Alejandro Garnacho opend the scoring after 40 seconds with a simple finish after Hojlund won possession off goalkeeper Nikita Haikin.

The hosts continued to dominate but Glimt equalised against the run of play in the 18th minute courtesy of a superb first-time finish from Hakon Evjen after being teed up by Sondre Fet on the edge of the box.

The Norwegian side managed to turn the game around four minutes later when a quick ball over released Philip Zinckernagel, who shrugged off Malacia before firing through the legs of Andre Onana.

However, United pushed for the equaliser and were reward just before the break as Noussair Mazraoui did well to pick out Hojlund, who controlled well before volleying into the bottom corner.

The hosts carried that momentum into the second half and took the lead six minutes in when Mount and Ugarte combined to set up for Hojlund for the close-range finish to complete his brace.

Amorim opted to re-shuffle the pack for the final 20 minutes as Marcus Rashford, Luke Shaw and Amad Diallo replaced Mount, Antony and Lisandro Martinez.

The visitors did push for a late equaliser but Onana ensured United walked away with the win after making a couple crucial saves, including one in second-half stoppage time to deny Patrick Berg.
