Reports emerging from Egypt suggest that Pitso Mosimane, the current head coach of Iranian giants Esteghlal, has once again found himself on the wanted list of Egyptian club Zamalek.

Mosimane's name has been linked to Zamalek in the past, with speculation growing following his immensely successful tenure at Al Ahly, Zamalek's fierce rivals, where he won two CAF Champions League titles and established himself as one of the most successful African coaches of his generation.

Mosimane, who took over Esteghlal earlier this year, has been doing an excellent job in Iran, leading the club to multiple wins and safely moving them away from the relegation zone in the Iranian league.

His experience and track record in Africa, particularly in leading Al Ahly to continental success, have made him one of the most sought-after coaches on the continent.

According to Egyptian news outlet Cairo24, Zamalek have shortlisted the South African coach among the candidates to take over in Cairo. Although no official contact has been made yet, Mosimane's success in Iran and his well-established reputation in African football make him a highly attractive candidate for any top African club looking to strengthen their managerial team.

The news has set the Egyptian football community abuzz, with many speculating on whether Mosimane will consider a return to Egypt, especially given the ongoing challenges at Zamalek. While he is currently focused on his work at Esteghlal, it remains to be seen if the allure of a return to Egyptian football, where he enjoyed great success at Al Ahly, will tempt Mosimane into making a move back to Cairo.
