Being in charge of high profile clubs can see managers succumb to pressure. Some managers handle their expectations well, while others fall at the feet of their fans. The Fan Park crew has a look at who could be next in the firing line.
Roberto Martinez – Everton
The Merseyside club recently gave a vote of confidence to their Spanish manager, but Everton are performing way under par and are currently 12th on the table. How long will it be before Everton’s board has seen enough?
Paul Lambert – Aston Villa
Lambert’s Villa side have scored the least goals this season so far, with a poor total of 11. They currently sit in 16th spot with just 15 games remaining. Lambert and his team will need to turn things around soon before his position is reconsidered.
Jürgen Klopp – Dortmund
Klopp’s side have been in dismal form this season and currently sit at the bottom of the German Bundesliga. The Dortmund board also gave him the vote of confidence, but surely he will need to turns things around quickly before the possibility of relegation becomes reality.
Brendan Rodgers – Liverpool
Although Liverpool have improved in recent matches, it’s not farfetched to say that Rodgers’ position could be under threat should he fail to qualify for Europe. Liverpool were agonisingly close to winning the Premier League last year, but with a slip from captain Steven Gerrard, the title was all but a dream.
