Pitso Mosimane has threatened to leave South Africa after he admitted that he ‘can go anywhere in the world’, but where would the illustrious coach go?
The 2014 Absa Premiership winning coach revealed that he felt misunderstood and may resort to looking at clubs abroad to continue his coaching career.
Where he would go we do not know, but the Fan Park crew had a bit of fun and drew up a map of the world, labelling potential places he could opt to take his career.
North Africa– With big teams like Al Ahly and Raja Casablanca regularly for the CAF Champions League title, Pitso’s experience and expertise may be welcomed in North Africa.
Europe– While Europe may be filled with tons of coaching talent, an African tactician is needed in the game and he may be tempted to try his luck on the continent considered as the hub of world football.
India– The Indian Premier League is fuelled by big bucks each year, and as it looks to extend its the growth and popularity, they could be enticed to bring Pitso on board. After all, they already had Antonio Habbas there.
USA– Football, or rather soccer in the States has grown incredibly over the past few seasons. It is a region that is widely recognised now and also known to offer great packages. Mosimane may have a look at his options here, just like Ajax Cape Town legend, Brett Evans, did.
Few South African coaches have left Mzansi to go abroad. The likes of Eddie Firmani and Trott Moloto did, but Pitso would really have to break the mould to have things go to plan.
Those are probably the best options for Mosimane, where do you think he would go?
