The Best & Worst Of Chiefs Vs Edu Sports
Kaizer Chiefs claimed their first win of the year courtesy of a hat-trick from Siphelele Mthembu but who were the three best and worst performers on the day?
AmaKhosi certainly did not hold back against Edu Sports, as they netted four goals against the Minnows and secured a spot in the last 16.
The game also saw the return of Katlego Mphela in a Chiefs shirt and he didn't disappoint, scoring one of the four goals.
Mthembu could force his way into Stuart Baxter's regular starting line-up with this match-winning performance, with the current squad lacking an out-an-out number nine.
The Three Who Impressed:
Siphelele Mthembu - Given a rare start by Baxter but re-payed the faith by bagging a hat-trick.
Siphiwe Tshabalala - Needed a good performance like this, after disappointing in the league fixtures, looked lively in the attack and bagged two assists.
Kgotso Moleko - Impressed at right full back both offensively and defensively, while he also had a hand in the the first goal.
Three Who Can Improve:
David Zulu - Not the best of outings on his full debut for Chiefs but did have a few efforts at goal.
Ovidy Karuru - Had a few runs at his opposition full back but went missing on too many occasions.
Siyabonga Nkosi - A quiet game from Nkosi, he struggled to get things going in the attack and was eventually replaced in the second half.
