The Amakhosi moved a step closer to clinching the league title with a 1-0 win over AmaTuks at the Tuks Stadium on Wednesday night.
Siphiwe Tshabalala scored a stunning free kick to hand Chiefs a 13 points advantage over Mamelodi Sundowns, who will be on play tomorrow night.
The three that impressed
Siphiwe Tshabalala: the experienced attacking midfielder was involved of many Chiefs attack as they looked to unlock Tuks who were very stubborn on the day.
Shabba rounded his performance with a stunning free kick to move his team closer to reclaiming the league title back from Sundowns.
George Lebese: the winger was very lively mesmerising Tuks defence for the better part of the match before being taken off in the dying minutes of the match. He was unlucky not to have put Chiefs ahead with several chances he had.
Tefu Mashamaite: The Kaizer Chiefs captain was rock solid for the whole match and made important tackles to deny Tuks from scoring. He led by example and covered well for his full backs who like going forward.
The three that disappointed
Katlego Mphela: It was once again another lacklustre performance from the once feared striker, who continues to struggle for goals at Chiefs.
Killer had a nightmare of a performance before he was taken off early in the second half.
Siboniso Gaxa: The right back struggled to cope with the pacy and tricky Denver Mukamba. Tuks attacked Chiefs down the right flank where Gaxa was operating. He was the weakest link in that Chiefs back four on the night, and could have cost us the three points.
Matthews Rusike: the Zimbabwean had a fair chance to impress after coming from the bench early in the second half but failed to make any meaningful contribution. His performance was very disappointing and his lack of goals speaks volumes.
