Mamelodi Sundowns' technical team continues to focus on their youth development by giving young players opportunities in the first team.

According to Siya sources, Sundowns are set to recall a young midfielder who is currently on loan at a different South African club.

Reliable sources close to the club have indicated that the Brazilians are set to recall Siyanda Msani from his loan spell at Motsepe Foundation Championship side University of Pretoria (Tuks).

The sources added that Msani, who was last season on loan at Cape Town Spurs, and plays as both a left back and left-sided midfielder, has impressed the technical team while on loan at Tuks.

"They are preparing the team for the future and that's why you can see that there are a number of youngsters in the current team because the technical team, as well as management, are looking at the young ones learning from the senior players and that's why they are deciding to recall Siyanda (Msani) from his loan deal at Tuks. So it could all be in January but they are working on that," the Siya source stated.

A second source stated that they would send another player on loan to the University of Pretoria if they need to replace Msani.

"It will all depend on if Tuks need to replace him then Sundowns are willing to loan them another player. You know there is a good understanding between the two clubs and if Msani goes back to Sundowns in January then they may loan them another player whether in the same position or in a different position," the second source stated.

The 23-year-old has so far been a consistent performer for the University of Pretoria in the first round of the season. Last season, while he was on loan at Cape Town Spurs they were still playing in the Betway Premiership before their eventual relegation. As Sundowns continue to build a team for the future, the potential recalling of Msani highlights their commitment to developing young talent.
