Every now and then, fans make headlines for looking strikingly similar to famous footballers, as we've seen with a Cristiano Ronaldo lookalike, among many others, in recent years.

This time, however, it is Messi who has someone looking similar to him, and he goes by the name of Reza Parastesh.

According to Squawka, the Iranian student was recently mobbed by fans who were desperate for a picture with Messi's lookalike in the city of Hamaden.

He caused such a stir that police reportedly intervened as traffic came to a standstill, and it is believed he was taken to a police station in their attempt to clear the roads, with his car also being impounded.
