Orlando Pirates have not had the best of seasons this time around, following the loss of their captain Senzo Meyiwa last year, as well as some internal issues involving former coach Vladimir Vermezovic.
On the field of play though, there has been glimmers of hope, with a few players standing out and they will no doubt make the fans dream again this season.
Sangweni has been a mainstay for Bucs this season in defence, and formed a strong bond alongside Rooi Mahamutsa in the heart of defence. As one of the captains, he has been holding the fort ever so well in a time where leaders were needed.
The woolly-haired midfielder took some time to gel with his new teammates at Mayfair following his arrival from Platinum Stars at the beginning of the season. However, now he is one of the first names on the team sheet and will continue to be a vital cog in the Bucs midfield this season.
Although playing a bit-part role for Pirates for most of the season, there is no doubt in the boy’s talent - especially when coming off the bench. His finesse, flair and skill have been much appreciated by the Bucs fans, and it is only a matter of time before he becomes a starter for the club.
Major needs no introduction - his eight league goals have done Pirates a world of good in terms knowing that they have a reliable player in front of goal. Majoro will need to keep up this form to help ensure that Pirates continue to pick up vital points this season.
