Up until this past weekend, Brazilian goalkeeper Ederson had been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia.
The 30-year-old was the subject of interest at Saudi Pro League teams Al Nassr and Al Ittihad before his potential departure from England fell through.
Ederson has been City's first-choice shot-stopper since his arrival from Benfica in 2017, and was said to have had his head turned by clubs in the Middle East.
Following the Citizens' penalty shootout victory over Manchester United in the FA Community Shield on Saturday, though, he confirmed he will be staying put.
"The decision has been made. I will stay at Manchester City this season," he said, according to the Mirror.
"I spoke to Pep, and it was crucial. I'm happy to stay and fully focused on winning more titles here.
"I also spoke to the board, directors, and teammates, and I'm staying."
