One of the most interesting talking points in 2014/15, has been the impressive form of many players who have risen from their failures of last season.
These footballers have shown great passion and spirit to rejuvenate themselves and get back into the good books of their coaches and fans.
Ashley Young – Manchester United
When the Red Devils signed Angel Di Maria, the writing was basically on the wall for Ashley Young. The previous season had been a difficult one for the ex-Aston Villa winger as he, just like most of his teammates, struggled to make any impact, but this season he has been a completely different player under Louis Van Gaal.
Gerard Pique – Barcelona
Last season must have been one of the worst ever seasons for Pique, as the Spanish national side along with Barcelona failed to impress. Pique was at the heart of the defence in both teams and he took a lot of flak from supporters and media. He is now back to his best and showing everyone why he is highly rated.
Francis Coquelin – Arsenal
When signed by Wenger, Coquelin was immediately targeted as a player for the future and his rise to the first team was only a matter of time. Unfortunately, it didn't materialise as expected, but all has changed for the young Frenchman since the start of January.
Marouane Fellaini - Manchester United
The big Belgian was made the scapegoat to United’s poor results last season and many didn’t understand why David Moyes over paid for him. Since the arrival of Louis Van Gaal, things have been different, and he has arguably been one of the Red Devils' best players on the park.
