While most of the players were given a chance to impress coach Jose Riveiro in four friendly matches played by the Buccaneers, Lepasa was notably not involved for the better part.
Despite his limited game time, nothing has changed in the 27-year-old player's future with the club going into the new season, according to sources.

"Lepasa is fine and isn't injured. He is in the plans, as he travelled to Spain with the team, otherwise he wouldn't have gone to pre-season if he wasn't. It's just that the coach opted to use other players in those matches as he wanted to see different combinations in planning for the upcoming season," said the source.
Last season, Lepasa found himself behind the likes of Tshegofatso Mabasa and Evidence Makgopa in the pecking order, with Riveiro preferring to play with one striker most of the time.
