According to Kooora, the Schwandorf native and the Green Eagles have reached a decision to split amicably ahead of the 2024/25 season.
The decision comes mere weeks after Zinnbauer led the Moroccan giants to an unprecedented achievement of winning the Botola Pro Inwi and Throne Cup without suffering a single defeat.
However, following Raja president Mohamed Boudrika's recent arrest, the former Orlando Pirates manager has seemingly decided to call time on his brief stint in Casablanca.
The same report states that the 54-year-old paid his own release clause in order to terminate his contract with the three-time CAF Champions League winners.
It is understood that Zinnbauer paid Raja $100 000 (R1.8 million) of his own money, while also forgoing bonuses and unpaid wages amounting to $120 000 (R2.2 million).
In an attempt to not have their pre-season derailed by the ex-Hamburg head coach's exit, Raja are said to have enlisted the services of Hisham Abu Sharwan and Mohamed Madih, with the duo expected to train the team during their pre-season camp in Tunisia.
