Real Madrid and Barcelona are two clubs in La Liga that are sitting with a wealth of talent and it might be time that some of these players think about leaving for more game time.
For a player, it’s never easy to be sitting on the bench week in and out, so we believe these are five players that should think of moving to another league.
Pedro – Barcelona
With Barcelona’s transfer ban, Pedro will likely stay another year, but there will be no shortage of offers for the 27-year-old if he does decide he’s had enough of being the fourth choice striker at the club.
Fabio Coentrao – Rea Madrid
Fabio Coentrao is one of the biggest mysteries of Real Madrid’s transfer policy in recent years. Jose Mourinho signed the player in his second season at the club and paid £22million for him. He has played less than 40 percent of the matches since his arrival.
Asier Illarramendi – Real Madrid
The 25-year-old is past the point of being able to grow as a player with the occasional first team start. The midfielder was another strange signing, just like Coentrao, and quite frankly has never really been good enough to play for Los Blancos.
Martin Montoya – Barcelona
Montoya played last weekend against PSG, because Dani Alves was suspended, but there is little faith in his ability as the Brazilian’s long-term successor. He is now 24-years-old and will need to decide whether he is happy being a bench warmer or not.
Jese – Real Madrid
The young Spaniard can play anywhere across the front three and looked like being a late entry in Vicente del Bosque’s Spain World Cup squad last season until he tore his cruciate ligament. It’s been a long way back for him, and as usual holding down a starting spot at Madrid is next to impossible.
