There are many professionals following in their dad's footsteps at the moment, but what about the younger kids who have taken an interest in football, such as Cristiano Ronaldo Jr and Benjamín Aguero?
The Argentine was once married to Diego Maradona's youngest daughter, with whom he had a son named "Benjamín Aguero Maradona" in 2009. The Manchester City striker has posted videos of his boy kicking a football, and although Benjamín is not even 10 years old yet, we look forward to seeing whether or not he has picked up his dad and grandad's skills! Oh, and Lionel Messi is Benjamin's godfather too…
The FC Barcelona forward has two sons, Thiago and Mateo, and surely one of them will follow in their dad's incredible footsteps, or at least we hope so! Messi has often played down the possibility of his sons growing up to be footballers, but with a father as naturally gifted as theirs, fans cannot be blamed for being excited to see if Thiago or Mateo, or both, can make professional careers for themselves. No pressure.
The Portuguese once revealed in an interview that he hopes his son, Cristiano Jr, one day plays football at the highest level, and even joked that he won't allow his boy to become a goalkeeper! Ronaldo often posts videos of he and his son working out and kicking a football about, but it would be unfair to put too much pressure on the kid's shoulders. After all, his dad is one of the beautiful game's best players ever!
The towering Swede has enjoyed a great career since bursting on to the scene for Malmo, with his CV telling quite the story. Ibrahimovic has played for the likes of FC Barcelona, AC Milan, Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain, and Manchester United, among others, and has consistently scored goals. The 35-year-old is one of the game's most unique characters, and perhaps his sons, Maximillian and Vincent, have picked up their father's personality and ability!
The Manchester United captain has three sons, Kai, Kit and Klay, who all seem to have a massive passion for the game! Football runs in the family, with their uncles also playing professionally, and it will interesting to see whether these boys try emulate their father – United's highest ever goalscorer.
Would you like to see these boys follow in the footsteps of their fathers?
