Wingers are very important in the game of football, but many forget that their job is more than just running at full backs… They need to be able to cross a ball from time to time!
The Fan Park Crew has come up with a few wingers that are brilliant at everything but putting the final ball in the box. Who know how big these players could have become if they could just deliver a good and consistent final ball.
Jesus Navas – Manchester City
The Spaniard was a standout player back in 2010, but sadly the one thing that has hampered his career is the ability to whip in a final ball. He was recently criticised by Gary Lineker on Twitter, who said: “Navas couldn't cross a road.”
Theo Walcott – Arsenal
Walcott is a real speedster, who has the talent to do so much more than what he currently does. His crossing ability is real worry at times and we can see why he isn’t always a firm favourite to start.
Aaron Lennon – Everton
The former England international is currently on loan at Everton and it seems the extra game time hasn’t helped his crosses much. He is always a handful for defenders when the ball is at his feet, but tends to give it away when trying to find teammates in the box.
Raheem Sterling - Liverpool
Sterling is young and arguably one of the hottest prospects in the game at the present, but his crossing is way below par. If he is going to want dominate the scene like Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo, he will need to work on his crossing or think about changing positions.
Which other EPL players could join the list?
