With the Nedbank Cup Last 16 match against SuperSport United just hours away, there has been talk about how the outcome of this fixture will affect Eric Tinkler…
The tactician has done exceptionally well since taking over as head coach back in December last year.
Since his recent reign in charge, Tinkler has only suffered one defeat and has gone an unbeaten run of 12 fixtures – something no coach has managed since Bucs’ treble winning campaign.
Still, despite this, Tinkler’s job is delicately poised, and there is talk that if Pirates fail to retain the Nedbank Cup, he could be headed out of Parktown.
The former Wits assistant coach has since slammed these reports, despite management reportedly unsure of what to do with Tinkler.
It almost seems unfair that Tinkler could be sacked after just two defeats – should they lose to SuperSport United – after all he has given the team.
Ghosts, I hope this is not the case… Do you think a Nedbank Cup exit could see the end of Tinkler?
