Let’s face it, at Naturena a lot is at stake and the pressure to succeed is at its highest, going into the run in period as champions elect. However, with many new players at the club yet to make an impact on the team… how long will it take for them to become frustrated and feel unwanted?
Yes, one could argue that it is their first season at the club and they need time to bed in, but does it really take that long - a whole season?
We are in a fortunate position where we have a healthy lead at the top of the table with a few games to go, but there is no doubt these players would have felt they could have had a hand in the team’s success.
In the modern game, there is rarely time to adjust as players are often required to hit the ground running, but how could they do so when are just not given enough time to showcase their talents.
This could even scare top talents who would love to play for the club, because no player wants to be signed by the biggest club in South Africa just to sit on the bench all season long.
At the moment, it’s a case of the technical staff not feeling the need to fix something that doesn’t need to be fixed, but I do think that new signings need more time in the line-up - you never know what gem you could unearth!
Do you agree?
