Bafana Bafana’s media team are very active on social networks, but today they went one step backwards and posted a rather stupid tweet that has no regard for safety or security.
Shakes Mashaba will be leading his boys out against Cameroon tonight at the Moses Mabhida Stadium, where they will naturally be hoping for a full house.
Bafana Bafana’s Twitter handle posted a tweet this morning saying they hope for the same type of crowd the Egypt – Nigeria game had, and it was accompanied with a picture of the fans hanging off the TV tower at the stadium.

The problem with this tweet is that it fails to take any form of security into account and is only encouraging the masses to act irresponsibly.
That picture was just a snippet of the overcrowding that occurred at that fixture, with double the amount of people turning up at the game than it’s capacity of 25 000 could hold.
