It's El Clasico this weekend, and for the build up, we will be looking at some of the best Real Madrid players in this historical fixture of all time.
Manolo Sanchis
The legendary Spanish centre back spent 18 years in Real Madrid colours, making a record 43 appearances for his club, and his progression from the club's youth academy makes him a living legend in Real Madrid's history
Cristiano Ronaldo
The Portuguese star is Real Madrid current talisman, and his best moment came in the El Clasico in April 2012, where he netted the winner to hand los Blancos the League for that season… their first in four years.
Raul
The third highest goalscorer in Clasico history scored 15 goals in his 15-year spell with the club, including the legendary moment when he silenced the Camp Nou in 1999. It was a moment that is impossible to forget, amongst many others during Raul's long, successful career.
Iker Casillas
Real Madrid's current goalkeeper-captain has 30 Clasico appearances to his name, after first appearing between the sticks as a teenager. His vital saves in many of the close-fought affairs have been decisive, most notably in the 2011 Copa Del Rey final.
Alfredo Di Stefano
The man who was notoriously 'stolen' from Barcelona in 1953 held the goal scoring record for the rivalry over the course of several decades. Many Madrid fans will surely be paying homage to Don Alfredo, after the Argentinian passed away in December last year.
Ronaldo
Perhaps the best number 9 of all time, Ronaldo scored for both Real Madrid and Barcelona during two separate spells in Spain, where he wore the colours of both clubs.
Luis Figo
Another man to appear for both clubs, Figo made the move to Real Madrid from Barcelona in 2000 for a record fee and was subjected to a great deal of hostility from Barcelona fans, which included the infamous "pig's head" incident in 2002.
Guti
The controversial midfielder, Guti, was a technically superb player, with a fine pass and spent over two decades with Real Madrid, appearing in several El Clasicos. He famously never scored against Barcelona, but his incisive passes definitely settled many affairs between the clubs.
Emilio Butregueno
Another youth product from Real Madrid, Butregueno was part of the Real Madrid Quinta El Buitre team that dominated Barcelona, claiming six consecutive Clasico wins in the 1980s. He netted four goals against Barcelona in a run which saw Real Madrid win six La Liga titles.
Sergio Ramos
Real Madrid's vice-captain is probably better remembered by Barcelona fans for his temperament in the fixture, but has been a very loyal servant for Real Madrid over his nine seasons at the club. He has scored three goals from defence against Barcelona, indicating how much the fixture means to him.
