Three Footballers Who Had Too Much To Drink

Three Footballers Who Had Too Much To Drink

Mario Balotelli

Footballers should be role models and setting an example for others when they are out in the public eye, but some get it horribly wrong, especially when there is alcohol involved. Today, we take a look at three footballers who hit the bottle a bit too hard.

Frank Lampard

The Chelsea legend went on a five-hour drinking binge with his former teammates back in 2011. The players were stranded at Heathrow Airport after flights were cancelled due to the 9/11 attack by terrorists on the World Trade Centre, and the midfielder was seen mocking and swearing at US tourists while they waited. Not his best moment!

Nicklas Bendtner

The Danish striker has always been one for controversy and after Arsenal's Champions League exit to Bayern Munich in 2014, he took things to another level. Bendtner went out on the town and got completely drunk. Later that evening, it was said he removed his trousers and rubbed himself up against the side of the taxi. The 26-year-old then allegedly whipped the cab with his belt and called the poor cab driver a "little whore".

Bastian Schweinsteiger

We know the German likes to party, but this time around he took things a little too far after beating rivals Borussia Dortmund in 2014, when he was still at Bayern Munich. Schweinsteiger led the celebrations by singing "BVB, sons of b******" on a makeshift stage at a party. The video went viral and sparked some heated discussions between the Bayern and Dortmund fans.

Which player has the craziest story?
