The story
After a winter break that lasted almost a month, Durban-born baller Thabo Cele returned to Russian soil earlier this month and received plenty of love on his birthday on Wednesday.
The recently-turned 27-year-old, who's been linked with a move to Kaizer Chiefs in the past, had a day to remember with his teammates and coaches.
Starting at training, Cele had to run through a tunnel of players slapping him as a birthday initiation and in the evening, the chef prepared a wholesome heart-shaped cake for the KwaMashu-bred star.
Cele and the rest of the Fakel Voronezh troops will hope to pick up a much-needed three points in the Russian Premier League when they face Spartak Subotica on Friday night.
Fakel currently find themselves languishing in 14th place of the league table, going winless in their last 10 domestic matches and earning the last win back in October.
