Football lovers were excited at the prospect of seeing their favourite local players testing themselves against some of Europe's hottest stars. One such footballer who thrived under the challenge was Khune, who recently remembered the 2011 Vodacom Challenge.
For the pre-season tournament, Spurs brought a full-strength squad to Mzansi, including the likes of Gareth Bale, Luka Modric and even SA's very own Bongani Khumalo and Steven Pienaar.
