"I think we deserved to lose this game." This is what our coach Zeca Marques said after Moroka Swallows suffered a 2-0 defeat to Mamelodi Sundowns on Wednesday night.
Marques summed it up correctly because if one looks at the match statistics, the Dube Birds only had three shots at goals and of these shots, two were off target.
Sundowns had 11 shots at goals and five of them were on target, resulting in their two goals.
Swallows were dominated by Sundowns in ball possession even though they were the home team, so Marques was right, the Birds did deserve to lose against Sundowns.
