Before moving to Ajax Amsterdam in Holland, Thulani Serero made a household name for himself at Ajax Cape Town, becoming one of the darlings of South African football in the process.
Today, on this Throwback Thursday in Fan Park, we take a look back at the time when he had left South Africa, and, also, a nice pay package he was set to receive every month.
It was reported in issue 729 of Soccer Laduma way back in July 2011 that 'Cream' was set to earn R5 400 000 million per year!
Dividing that number by 12 months amounts to roughly R450 000 per month!! Not bad, not bad at all!
He may currently be earning a minimum wage as a non-European player, however, it's still one neat package if he was to spend a holiday in South Africa!
