He is one of the most loved players on the planet and recently showed why, as Sadio Mane took time out of his busy schedule to return home, where it all began.
Before he was a feared attacker known for tormenting opposition defenders, Sadio Mane was a village boy from Bambani in Senegal.
The 27-year-old hasn't forgotten that as he recently returned to the village to check up on a school that he is reportedly financing.
It was also reported that Mane already built a hospital in the region and that his latest venture is said to cost around £250 000 (R4.3 million).
Images of Mane's visit to the school site quickly went viral on social media.
It's been a busy year for the pacey forward as he helped guide Liverpool to UEFA Champions league glory. He also reached the AFCON final with Senegal but they were beaten by a stubborn Algeria.
What do you think of Mane's kind gesture?
