FC Barcelona defender Gerard Pique stole the headlines on Monday when he scored Spain's winner against the Czech Republic – here is what he had to say on Twitter afterwards.
The match had looked like it was going to end in a draw, but midfielder Andres Iniesta managed to pick out the Catalan star with a peach of a cross for the defender to head in late in the game.
After scoring the goal, Pique went to celebrate in front of La Furia Roja's fans, with El Clasico rival Sergio Ramos being the first to join him in doing so.
The former Manchester United man took to Twitter after the game, and had the following to say (translated from Spanish):
"I suppose there is no need to say anything else... We are a magnificent team! A great day for all."
Supongo que no hace falta decir nada más... Somos un magnífico equipo! Un gran día para todos. pic.twitter.com/QuZGPcCwrH
