The story

It was a busy weekend for Minister Gayton McKenzie who watched both Bafana Bafana in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers and Kaizer Chiefs in the Cufe Cup, hosted by Marumo Gallants.

The Glamour Boys came out victorious at the Toyota Stadium on Sunday, overcoming Gallants 5-4 on penalties after a goalless 90 minutes.

The Minister approached vocal Bloemfontein Celtic supporters, who came out in numbers to watch their newly adopted team "Sewelele Sa Marumo" and the Soweto giants doing battle for the second time this season.

McKenzie revealed in a Twitter/X post that he's always been a Bloem Celtic fan, responding to someone who claimed the minister supports Amakhosi.

In his post, the Minister wrote, "I am a die hard Bloem Celtic supporter. Until it's definite return, I shall support all teams in PSL so long."

McKenzie remains confident about the implementation of Video Assistant Referee (VAR), confirming to the Siya Crew that plans are at an advanced stage to bring it to South African shores.
