Even when the chips are down, it seems Cristiano Ronaldo can't help but get in a sly dig at his famous rival Lionel Messi. Did you see what happened?
Thanks to the introduction of cameras in the tunnels of stadiums, the public is now privy to some of what goes on behind the scenes on matchdays, and prior to Real Madrid's game against Deportivo La Coruna last weekend, an interesting conversation between a mascot and Ronaldo took place.
Chatting with the kind of abandon only a child can have, one of the mascots, who was set to accompany a player on to the pitch, spotted Ronaldo and said in Spanish: "For me, you are the best in the world", and perhaps he should have left it there, but he followed up that statement by adding, "and Messi is...", to which the Los Blancos star jokingly responded by saying: "Bad!"

The light-hearted interaction produced a smile on the faces of some of Ronaldo's teammates, including Gareth Bale. The team's high spirits continued into the match as they went on to defeat their opponents with a staggering 7-1 scoreline, with the Portuguese star and his Welsh counterpart getting two goals apiece.
Although it has been a rough season for Ronaldo in Spain's top flight, with some harsh criticism coming his way and rumours of his departure from the club spiking once again, his fans will be happy to see that he can still produce a smile and engage in some cheeky banter with the kids.
