Branded as the 'Forever Fearless' jersey, the gold and black home kit sported a single black stripe over the left shoulder, while the away kit was blue with a yellow stripe on the same side.
The 2014/15 strips were so popular it was even reviewed positively by a number of European publications that season.
The current kits, meanwhile, have received a mixed bag of results. Supporters have likened the home shirt to Chiefs' 2011/12 "Zebra" jersey due to its zig-zag pattern design.
The 2019/20 away kit also received an underwhelming response, with the white and yellow design being one of the less favourite away jerseys in recent times.
Taking the attention away from those kits, Amakhosi revealed a much simpler 50th anniversary strip this season, which in turn became hugely popular among local football fans.
