PSG's new kits were designed with special meanings behind them as the club honours its 50th anniversary, with Les Parisiens having been founded in 1970.
The French club's home shirt sports a singular red stripe, a feature that first appeared in 1973. The design of the stripe was named after the club's former president Daniel Hechter, with the rest of the jersey designed on the club's blue base colour.

As for the away shirt, the jersey was also designed with the Hechter stripe, and pays homage to the strip they wore in the 1995/96 season, when they won their first European title.
