Kemiso Motaung was one of those left stunned by Lorenzo Gordinho's move from Kaizer Chiefs to Bloemfontein Celtic, and the defender has now responded to the emotional message she left him. Do you know what he said?
When it was announced that Gordinho would be going out on loan to Celtic, it seems no one was more incredulous than the club founder's daughter, Kemiso. Taking to Instagram, Motaung wrote: "#MySoldier I can't describe how I feel, I don't quite understand why? But I know u will be back, because as per what I said, I believe you are a future @kcfcofficial captain! I cannot wait for you to come back and take your place back. I miss you already! Salute to a professional athlete of honour integrity!! I love your boy @michelle_gordinho he has grown up to be a fine young man!! #WaitingUntilUComeBack #IAmSad @lorenzo_gordinho"
Take a look!
When Soccer Laduma's Beaver Nazo asked Gordinho about the message from Kemiso and whether anyone at the club had spoken to him about the possibility of being Amakhosi captain one day, he responded by saying: "Obviously that is an opinion of hers about me and I appreciate that coming from her. I'm proud that she feels like that about me.
"It is an opportunity at a great club and, as a young player, it is my dream. But in terms of her or someone else at the club saying that about me, no one at the moment. You'll never know what will happen in the future."
Do you think Gordinho would make a good captain for Chiefs one day?
