Wait, is that Wayne Rooney or Lil Wayne? Wayne Rooney's own club seems to be confusing him with popular American rapper Lil Wayne. Did you see what happened?
One wouldn't think it would be too difficult to distinguish between the twom as they don't appear to have any physical similarities, but tell that to the Everton's social media manager.
The club uploaded a photo of Rooney playing against Newcastle, and instead of tagging him in the picture they tagged the chart-topping musician instead!
Take a look!

Though the club were quick to change the tag to their decorated striker, thanks to the screenshot feature in most cell phones and computers, the post will live on forever!
Although neither the player nor the rapper in question have yet to comment on the debacle, one can only imagine that they got a few chuckles out of the whole scenario.
It's quite an interesting coincidence that this would happen in the same week where Orlando Pirates had a social media shocker of their own. They added a whole seven years to Innocent Maela, in a happy birthday post...also it wasn't even his birthday!
The former Manchester United player, meanwhile, has been experiencing something of a resurgence this season. Since his move back to his boyhood club he has found himself among the top goal-scorers in the English Premier League with nine goals to his name, tied with the likes of Romelu Lukaku, Alvaro Morata and Gabriel Jesus.
What do you think of Everton's blunder?
