The coveted title of Miss Mamelodi Sundowns 2016/17 was awarded to Sharon-Rose Khumalo from Gauteng, in a glittering ceremony held at Emperors Palace on Sunday night. What do you think of her?

As the winner of the pageant, Khumalo received R200 000 in prize money and a brand new car, and she also becomes an ambassador for Mamelodi Sundowns Football Club.
The first princess was Tsakane Mangwane, also from Gauteng, who walked away with R175 000, while R150 000 went to the second princess, Lisanne Lazarus from KwaZulu-Natal. Rounding off the top five were Mikaela Oosthuizen from the Eastern Cape and Tshidi Green, one of the Western Cape representatives. In addition, all 18 provincial winners were given R60 000.
Presenting the overall winner was Minister of Communications Faith Muthambi and Dr Precious Moloi-Motsepe, executive chairperson of African Fashion International (AFI). In the audience were players from Sundowns and members of the Supporters Club, who sang team songs during the night as well as a rendition of Happy Birthday to club owner Patrice Motsepe.
It was an emotional send-off for Tshego Monggae, Miss Mamelodi Sundowns 2015. As she took to the stage for one last time, a video tribute played in the background, highlighting her successful reign and that of the Sundowns team that were crowned CAF Champions League champions in 2016.
"What an incredible night – I'm still waiting for it all to sink in," Khumalo, the Miss Mamelodi Sundowns 2016/17 winner, said.
"Thank you to Miss Mamelodi Sundowns for this amazing opportunity and a very special thank you to my parents for their unwavering support.
"I know the year ahead is going to be as exciting as it is challenging and I can't wait to get started."
